These markers depict the finalists in each category of Azure Awards as part of an AR-interactive structure. When scanned with a mobile device, each marker activates an augmented-reality feature that explains the winning work.

Designing A.R. marker graphics was tricky business. Devices can only interpret patterns that strike just the right balance between simplicity and representational graphics, so designing these elements was a unique challenge.

Through rounds of testing, we worked with the interactive department to refine these patterns to reach a working resolution. In the end, we delivered a topographic pattern for Landscape Architecture, a simple cityscape for Architecture, floorplans for Interior Design, abstracted shapes for Concepts, and references to Adobe tools for Student Work.
